Elegant Fall Wedding
I wanted to share some of the gorgeous wedding that I had on my blog today - a refined fall wedding with warm browns and oranges. I just love the elegant take on a barn wedding!

I love the feel of this photoshoot - it reminds me of a Countrytime lemonade commercial with its rustic and nostalgic feel. I think it shows that everyday items used for a wedding can be so lovely and that its the little touches that make a wedding special. A ribbon wrapped bouquet of loose country flowers, antique books and peaches as decor, mix and match antique vases and plates of Grandma’s or Great-Grandma’s, and blue mason jars for guests “to catch fireflies” with. Amazingly simple and sweet.
A slightly offbeat wedding at a boutique hotel with tons of character. A touch of old mixed with some modern, and sepia inspired colors with bright touches like the blue shoes and blue succulents in the bouquet for an element of surprise.
Rough translation: I love this wedding! Get carried away on a cloud of pastels, balloons, fashion, sweets and adorably French touches.
I am in love with this bride’s style - her dress, orange belt, orange bead necklace, and adorable haircut. I wanted to create a theme to go around her bridal pictures. Fallish, rustic and warm, this event is simple yet fun and lovely. An outdoor ceremony, reception in a barn, orange flowers, a simple cake , and homemade jars of pumpkin butter for favors make this event memorable.
I love the idea of an orchard inspired wedding! This board proves that fall weddings can still be fun and whimsical and include pastels. I love the invitation suite inspired by old time fruit crate labels, the mini apple hand pies for desert, the tablescape with baskets and bowls of apples, handmade fabric flags, tablecloths from vintage looking fabrics, and the apple butter favors. Apples never looked so sweet before!
…On Route 66. This board was inspired by my love of things Americana and kitsch, history and fun road trips that I share with my husband. A Route 66 themed destination wedding with vintage touches like postcard save the dates, luggage as decor (also fun for you to have for the honeymoon or in your newlywed nest), a cool retro rental convertible, local candy favors and map invitations, and postcards from the Mother Road decorating each place setting of your heirloom tables.
I feel like this is how love should be. Bright and bubbly. Giddy and excited. In the words of Carrie Bradshaw - “Ridiculous, inconvenient, can’t live with out each other love.”
Love that lasts “For Like Ever”.
As soon as I saw this wedding shot by Stephanine Williams, I fell in love with its sweetness and warmth and the love that you can almost feel radiating from it. The flowers by Meg of La Partie Events reflect this so well and tell a story with sunny minimalism. I wanted to add in some sweet yellow honey candy favors and the prettiest and most whimsical custom yellow invitation suites by Rifle Design. A cake with textured yellow frosting mimics the texture of the flowers and finishes a lovely day on a sweet note for the newlyweds.
Weddings are such an amazing mix of old tradition yet new and different at the same time. This board is an homage to the wedding tradition of something old, something new. The something old is the antique/vintage inspiration - mismatched china in shades of white and purple, a tower of champagne coupes, and a sweet vintage pink bridesmaids dress from Etsy. The new is the bride’s dress by Peter Langner which only looks vintage, the meringue cake inspired by yesteryear and the bride’s dress on the outside but with decidedly modern flavors inside, the flowers look like a throwback to another era but are updated with surprising purple succulents, and a pair of lovebirds in a cage as a sweet reminder of your sweet union.
