What could be sweeter…a Valentine wedding complete with chocolate, wine and lots of flowers.
Here are some of my favorite wedding flowers for 2009. I love the loose, natural style of some of these bouquets and the way many of the flowers look as if they’ve just been gathered from the garden. The giant arrangement of garden roses, butterfly milkweed and berries by Mathew Robbins is my all time favorite. Although it’s not the girly and light flowers I tend to be drawn to, I love the arbor/doorway, too. And, maybe it’s the in-person fragrance that I love, but I can never get enough of simple sweet peas, whether bunched in a mason jar or tucked in between showier flowers in a bouquet.
I went shopping this week (alone for the first time in ages, all 4 kiddies in school!) and was surprised how much lime green I saw. I was even more surprised at how much I was loving it! For a wedding it would be a beautiful, fresh accent color on a black and white backdrop.
