DIY - Wishes Banner

I saw that a ton of you fell in love with the “wishes” banner that today’s featured bride crafted for her absolutely adorable wedding. Well, I thought it might be fun to do a quick DIY project for it right here on the style circle.

Supplies

Scalloped Circle Cards from Paper Source (you choose your color) /Hole Punch /Scissors /1/4″ or 1/2″ Ribbon /Printer

Instructions

I’ve designed some really simple W-I-S-H-E-S letters for you to use. Each page is set up to a 8.5″ x 11″ piece of paper, with the circle in the center as your card stock guide.

1. Print out pdf tempates for the letter W, the letter I, the letter S, the letter H, the letter E and again, the letter S on plain computer paper.

2. Gently adhere the circle stock in the appropriate space on each individual template. Don’t push the tape too hard or the stock might tear.

3. Re-feed the stock and paper through the printer (make sure to note what direction your printer prints) so that each letter prints successfully on each card. It’s ok if they are a little off center, as it only adds to the charm.

4. After you’ve printed everything, gently remove the stock from the paper, taking care not to pull at the paper’s first layer. Punch one hole on either side of the letter.

5. Leaving about 12 inches, tie a knot in the ribbon. Thread the ribbon through the left hole of the “W” so that the knot is on top. Thread the ribbon through the second hole and tie a knot. Choose the distance you want your letters to be, then tie a third knot and thread through the left hold of the “I.” Continue this pattern until all letters are threaded.

6. Make sure to leave ample room on either side to hang your banner! Voila!
